Time Out for Mommies

I had the opportunity to go to Time Out For Women in Raleigh, NC with some of my girlfriends over the weekend and we had such a good time. No McDonald's to eat at, no Radio Disney to listen to, an actual adult conversation that lasted more than a few minutes, it was wonderful. The dads were in charge of taking care of the kids, cooking dinner, changing diapers, getting them to a Primary activity and all of that other fun stuff that we are so privileged to do everyday of our lives. I decided to make a list of five things I learned at Time Out so here it goes...
#5 Just like Hilary Weeks a few of my favorite things are bedtime and nap time (for the kids that is).
#4 If you learn nothing else from your mistakes at least you'll have a great story to tell, right?!
#3 Always travel with a spare tire in your car ( yes, we did get a flat. I'll share that story another time).
#2 Good friends are hard to find, so when you find em' make sure you keep em'
#1 Jesus knows us and love us and wants what is best for us. Let him show you the way to go and you'll never go wrong.

my little cuties...

okay...okay...okay...I know that I said that I would be using this blog to keep in touch with y'all and it's been almost a month since I last posted...so whats the problem you ask? I am sure that you know that I am no techno geek, but my husband is! j/k :) Actually it just took me a little longer to learn how to post pictures and stuff because David and I have been so busy. He has been busy looking for another job while working the one he has now, plus camping with the YM, helping his grandparents and parents with a few projects, etc. etc. You get the idea. The girls just finished Spring Break on Friday so we spent the week doing fun stuff like Chuck E Cheese, Busch Gardens, and the movies. These pictures are of Shelby and Emily wearing their 3-D glasses from the movie Meet the Robinsons, and the picture of Savannah was taken at Busch Gardens. We also had a church activity for two wards that I was in charge of. Busy! Busy! Busy! So there it is my excuses..lame I know, but from here on out no more excuses!
